The Partners for Fish and Wildlife program provides funding for new habitat plots and legal protection for landowner in the event of island marble butterfly mortality. The Candidate Conservation Agreement with Assurances program, which has previously allowed landowners to create habitat with legal protections, continues, but is closed to further enrollment. Inquiries about joining the Partners program can be directed at this time to Walt at the San Juan Islands Conservation District to establish new island marble butterfly habitat on your property.
